My client is looking for a Site based HR Manager on a 12 month FTC basis as a maternity cover. Reporting to the HR Director you will be responsible for all generalist HR activities for a manufacturing site with a headcount of c.400. This position is based in South Wales in commuting distance of Cardiff and Newport. You must be available to start in March/April.
This is a broad HR generalist position with responsibility for all site HR activities and where you will be the first point of contact for all HR queries. As such you will provide support to the development and delivery of the HR strategy, policies, processes and procedures, to include: employee engagement and communications, employee and industrial relations, succession planning and performance management, HR administration, recruitment, HR management information and training.
They are looking for a pro-active and self-starting HR Manager who has worked in a similar site based 24/7 manufacturing/engineering/production environment. With strong knowledge of UK employment law you will have the ability to deliver against the HR plan, deliver change in a fast paced working environment and be able to work operationally. Alongside your broad HR generalist experience you will be able to build and manage relationships at a senior level, possess good business/financial acumen and have great communication skills.
This is a busy and hands-on/operationally led position that offers a lot of variety. Due to the nature of the business you will be expected to be based on site all week and working within a safe and secure environment.
