About Our Client

We have been retained by a leading global US company within the hi-tech manufacturing industry, to appoint a Senior HR Operations Manager to lead and drive their HR operations and strategies in Asia Pacific. With 2021 revenues of almost $1.5 billion, the company is now growing their presence in Asia and is looking for a highly capable Senior HR operations Manager to help drive the growth. This role will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

About the Role

Reporting into the International HR Leader based in US, and leading a team across Asia Pacific, the Senior HR Manager will be responsible for providing human resource consulting to business leaders and ensure effective delivery of HR services across all functions. This role will oversee a headcount of 600 within commercial and manufacturing across APAC. The Senior HR Manager will operate in both an operational and a strategic role and will drive HR strategies to support their market growth, including directing all HR development activities in APAC, in line with the global strategy. As the APAC business is part of the growing markets, stakeholders are ambitious and works fast and hence it is important for this individual to have the commercial acumen and work closely with the stakeholders.

The Successful Candidate

We are ideally looking for a Senior HR Manager or a HR Business Partner with a strong track record in HR operations, including employee relations. The candidate would ideally have experience in a global manufacturing organization and have managed a small team. The Senior HR Manager should have excellent knowledge of local labour legislation and HR practices in Malaysia. This individual should be comfortable in building a strong, consultative relationships with stakeholders. Fluency in Mandarin is highly essential.
