I am delighted to work with an expanding, international professional services organisation to recruit a Senior HR Manager/ Business Partner to be based in Manchester and lead HR for the North. This organisation operates a matrix structure, has a global remit and is continuously evolving, developing and growing.
As the strategic Senior HR Business Partner/ Senior HR Manager/ Head of HR for the North, you will report into the Head of HR UK and support a headcount of circa 500 across a number of sites. You will have direct line management of a team of six, identifying strengths, utilising and fostering those strengths whilst coaching and supporting them in development areas. You will partner with senior stakeholders including the COO, on change management programmes which may involve restructuring, realignment or reconfiguration. Senior Leaders have high expectations and will challenge you on how the people agenda is making a commercial impact.
You will be responsible for a broad range of HR activities to include, managing the career development review process, leading on salary reviews, identifying development needs, making recommendations and implementing appropriate solutions. A key part of this role will be transformation and change. You will need to understand the people impact of change and design effective plans to mitigate risks and embed change.
This role will suit a strategic HR Business Partner with experience gained in a large matrix organisation. You will join a complex business which may often be challenging to navigate, so you'll need to quickly build relationships and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity. The successful candidate will be confident, approachable and have a strong work ethic - you will need to have impact and influence at a senior level in order to build credibility quickly.
My client is ideally looking for someone who has worked within a large matrix organisation and experience working in industries such as Legal, Insurance, Professional or Financial Services. It is essential you have strong line management experience and feel confident in your ability to coach and develop others. You will need to be resilient and confident in your approach with the ability to make commercial decisions, influence and challenge stakeholders.
