A rare, newly created Senior Benefits Manager role is now available at a leading media business. Reporting into the Global Head of Benefits (UK based) this exciting opportunity will offer a blend of strategic and operational responsibilities as you develop and implement the benefits strategy, including: medical/dental insurance, flex Benefits, Life & AD&D insurance, voluntary benefits and wellness programmes across EMEA and APAC. You will be responsible for the overall financial well-being and operation of the UK pension scheme (dc and db) and other country-specific pension plans across EMEA and APAC, assessing current benefit plans, keeping updated with industry trends, and working with outside consultants to ensure that the offering remains competitive, cost efficient, and meaningful to employees across these regions (population size is +c15k staff) You will be supported by a senior benefits analyst and part of your role will be to develop this individual. Current programmes already in-flight include a change of benefit platform, change to pension scheme and other harmonisation projects.
As a result the business is looking to meet Benefits Managers who have enjoyed either a global or EMEA remit within a large, layered and matrix environment, who have deep technical knowledge of core benefits; including private medical, income protection, group life insurance and applicable benefits related regulations, such as salary sacrifice, auto enrolment, etc. The ability to build strong relationships with external brokers, providers and consultants is a key success measure and hopefully you will be comfortable conducting RFPs, plan implementations, negotiating, contracting and managing vendors.
