About our Client

We are delighted to partner with a prominent Retail company where they are undergoing high growth in their Asia markets. As part of their strategic move to focus on the growth markets, there is a need to hire a strategic HR professional to lead the business, particularly to support them as a Employer of Choice in highly competitive markets.

Job Description

Reporting to the APAC HR Director, the HR Director will drive and set the HR strategies policies and practices to encourage and sustain a high performing culture as well as conceptualise and implement the relevant HR roadmap on the growth markets. As the advisor to the commercial leadership team, the HR Director will provide insightful analysis and recommendations such as talent engagement, succession planning, organisation design, to support diverse groups of employees. Leading a team of HR professional, the HR Director will be a mentor and coach to take a lead of new HR initiatives and /or HR projects in the region.

The Successful Candidate

To succeed in this role, you should have at least ten years of HR experience in a regional capacity, preferably gained from FMCG, Retail or similar industries. You are a proven leader with prior or current experience in leading a HR team. You should have extensive knowledge of Singapore and other markets legislations to be able to influence and advise the leadership team in Asia. You must be prepared to be both hands-on and strategic, and you are a team player who can work in a flexible and agile environment. You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate your ideas and programmes in a clear and concise manner across all levels of management.
