A leading global financial services organisation is looking for a HR Business Partner (VP equivalent) to join the growing Tokyo (Japan) office in a newly created standalone (individual contributor) HR Generalist position. Reporting in to the Head of HR APAC (based in Singapore), with a dotted line in to the COO in Japan (also working closely with the Head of Equities, FIC, IB) you will operate in a end-to-end HR generalist / Business Partner position covering; HR Advisory, Employee Relations & Policy, Performance Management, HR Projects, Reward (Compensation - not benefits & Payroll), Recruitment, Learning & Talent & HR Ops. The bank consists of circa 500 employees across APAC at present spread across a handful of offices.
You will be an accomplished HR Business Partner operating in another global financial services organisation based in Japan (Investment Banking, Asset Management preferred). You must be comfortable partnering with senior front office stakeholders and have operated in large and small firms (ie able to operate in a strategic and operational role given this is a IC / standalone position without CoE's to lean on). This is a fast paced, high touch and performance driven organisation. Strong academics & Japanese language required.
