Head of HR (Stand Alone)

I am delighted to be partnering with this family owned and managed business to help them recruit an Interim Head of HR for 6 months.
The purpose of this role is to provide the full range of HR Generalist support from an operational and strategic perspective to an employee group of circa 70 across various business units. This will include providing guidance on HR policies and practices, HR initiatives, resolving queries and issues and delivering a first-class service to the business. You will be working closely with the Managing Director and people managers, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure that the people agenda is reflected in all business decisions.
In this true generalist role, you will collaborate with senior leaders to understand the key business objectives in order to define, create and deliver HR solutions.
Other areas of focus include ER, Talent Management and Development, Engagement and Performance and Reward. You should keep fully up to date with all developments in terms of employment legislation and employee relations issues and utilise this technical knowledge to provide advice and guidance to people managers.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you should have gained a thorough understanding of how HR works from a commercial environment in another 'stand alone' position. Experience from an owner managed business where you are the sole HR professional would be highly regarded.
