Our client, a leading national non-profit organization is in need of an Employee Relations Specialist to add to their team that will ultimately be responsible for providing guidance and expertise around employment law, will proactively partner and collaborate with various business units across the organization, to develop and implement HR initiatives and programs that will maximize efficiencies and ensure compliance. This exciting opportunity will create, review, revise and maintain the organization's Human Resources policies, in accordance to the strategic plan and applicable state and federal employment laws. Must be comfortable managing various ER issues simultaneously, be extremely hands-on, punctual and approachable with a genuine passion and interest for providing employees with ER guidance, counsel and expertise. Respond to a high volume of calls from managers and employees to resolve issues regarding HR policies, conflict resolution, performance problems, terminations.
Day to day responsibilities:
Assist in investigating and resolving all complaints.
Conduct branch specific and Association-wide training programs for managers/employees.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal discrimination and employment regulations.
Counsel employees and managers on HR policy issues, conflict resolution, performance problems and terminations.
Assist with updating the Employee Human Resources Guide to ensure key employment policies and expectations are communicated to all staff members. Utilize the Human Resources employee database to create reports.
Complete various projects as assigned by the Senior Executive, Employee Relations and VP, Human Resources.
Proactively identify potential concerns and address with the Senior Executive, Employee Relations and VP, Human Resources, as necessary.
